Scanpoint is a photo digitization company having mission to ‘preserve memories’ with the help of latest technologies for a long time being. We digitize and restore all old photos, color & B&W negatives, slides, APS Films, documents.

Our Scanning Procedure

For Photos

At scanpoint all images are scanned manually. Many scanning service providers use automated programs to remove scratches. But these only provide limited success. At scanpoint each image is manually scanned and checked for scratches. If scratches are found, they are eliminated by our expert team. Also, color correction and the reduction of any graininess is done manually because both methods will vary in the extent that they need to be performed based on each image so adjustments are needed for every image. Thanks to this work, we can guarantee the best quality of scanned images.

For Documents

Document Scanning is the process of scanning paper documents; converting those to digital images that are then stored on file servers, hard drives, CD, DVD, or other magnetic storage. Document scanning service can greatly reduce storage space that is required for keeping paper copies. Our document scanning and data capture services cover the scanning of documents, drawings, and photographs. We provide bulk document scanning, high volume data capture, OCR and PDF conversion to capture any form of information to electronic format. Documents can be converted into a variety of formats including PDF, JPEG, TIFF, GIF, BMP etc upto A4 Size. The original documents will be returned to the client’s archives or can be securely destroyed.

Safety and Quality

At scanpoint, before we scanned the first photo, we decided to organize our service around two key things. One was, as you'll know by now, the importance of being able to scan and repair images by hand. That's what enables us to deliver such high-quality images. But the second key feature we designed in from the start was the safety of your images. Parting with your precious memories, even if it's just to a store nearby, is not something anybody does lightly. So we have designed our service to be amazingly safe — and to let you know exactly where your images are, at any time, so you know it's safe.

Packaging Process

We often get questions about how to properly package photo material for shipment so that important information contained in that material is not lost during the digitization process. Here we provide you with the tips you need to know to make sure your photos are safe. Often the easiest solution is to simply pack all the pictures/albums/envelopes into one or several plastic bags (to protect the material from moisture), put this into a sturdy carton box and ship to us. After digitization, sorting and arranging images on the computer is much more convenient.

What you get

Once your pictures are digitized, we transfer them to DVD, we make a nice personalized DVD. We put one of your images on the front of the DVD. The blank sony DVDs we use are of very high quality - so your memories can be stored for eternity. We can gift this DVD case to your friends/family! Finally you can get your original photos with digital images in DVD. The digitized images are stored for a month after the order completion on our backup server. We keep the scans for this long to ensure that you even if DVD breaks down or is scratched by mistake, we have a copy in our backup server which we can resend to you.
